Introduction[]

In the Yo-kai Watch games, all yo-kai's have attitudes. These attitudes can affect what the yo-kai will do each turn they move and their stats when they level up. However, some yo-kai can't have a specific attitude because of what they are. For example, Jibanyan can not have the attitude gentle or tender because he does not have any healing techniques. He can't also have the attitudes helpful or devoted because he only possesses his opponents with negative effects.

Attitude:[]

The following natures are attitude that can affect the Yo-kai' s stats and what they will do each turn.

Attitude: Stats it helps raises What it will likely do on its turn
Grouchy Attack and HP Most likely Attack
Rough Attack (by a lot) Most likely to Attack more
Logical Spirit and Speed Most likely to use its technique
Brainy Spirit (by a lot) Most likely to use its technique more
Twisted Attack and Speed Most likely to inspirit the opponent
Cruel Speed (by a lot) Most likely to inspirit the opponent more
Helpful Hp and Speed Most likely to inspirit allies
Devoted Attack and Defense Most likely to inspirit allies more
Gentle Hp and Sp. Attack Most likely to heal allies
Tender HP (by a lot) Most likely to heal allies more
Careful Defense and Sp. Attack Most likely to guard
Calm Defense (by a lot) Most likely to guard more

There is another type of attitudes determining if your yo-kai would loaf or not. This is shown before the attitudes you see before the attitudes above. For example, Jibanyan can be serious and violent. However, the first game and the second game have different ways of determining this. They are:

First Game:

Attitude: Effect:
Stiff Slacks very rarely in battle
Serious Slacks rarely in battle
Carefree Slacks easily in battle
Lazy Slacks very easily in battle

In the Second Game:

Attitude: Effect:
Very Serious / Stiff Slacks very rarely
Serious Slacks rarely
Docile / Casual Normal
Selfish / Carefree Slacks easily
Careless / Sloppy Slacks more easily
Very Careless / Clumsy Slacks very easily

Some yo-kai can't have some specific attitudes. Some yo-kai can't have some attitudes that change how likely your yo-kai will loaf. For yo-kai ranks E-D, they can get to very serious. For C-B they can get to serious. But ranks A-S can only get to being docile. However this does not apply to evolved/fusion yok-kai, for example Ake turning into Payn can stay Stiff, and a Brushido evolving into Washogun could be Stiff

Trivia[]

  • Debibiru is the only yo-kai that can never be very serious, serious or docile due to his skill
  • Some yo-kai have skills that will never make them slack or everyone to not slack making the attitudes to control how they slack to be useless.
  • There is a glitch in the game where you can get a Kageorochi with Quiet or Intellectual even if he is a healer. However, keep those attitudes because they are very good for him to level up with.
